A static website is one of the easiest to handle and fastest to load in comparison to other models of websites. Static, as its name suggests a website that is delivered to the user as it is stored. Therefore, it is also called a flat or stationary website. Consequently, a static web page displays the same information for all users, from all contexts, subject to modern capabilities of a web server to accommodate content-type or language of the document where such versions are available and the server is configured to do so. The best part about it is improved security, improved performance, fewer dependencies on systems such as databases or other application servers and cost savings from utilizing cloud storage. The only disadvantage of a static website is that dynamic functionality must be performed on the client-side.
